NLT to Present Cloud-native Geospatial Data Interoperability Solutions at Esri Developer Summit

New Light Technologies (NLT) begins new cloud migration and modernization contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), leading the development of serverless, cloud-native web applications; federated identity authorization solutions; and data interoperability solutions.

The team is leading transformations from on-prem technology stacks to new serverless microservices architectures for critical surveying and mapping applications- used by USACE, NOAA, USGS, and others- that provide for the distributed collection, storage, and reporting of geodetic, tidal, and water level information as part of the National Spatial Reference System.

This work also includes development of serverless solutions for dynamic translation of disparate spatio-temporal civil works and waterway navigation data facilitating integration with the USACE’s Common Operating Picture (UCOP), Data.gov, the GeoPlatfom, and other interagency systems. NLT’s unique expertise in these areas are enabling the agency to leverage modern cloud technologies that improve functionality, scalability, security, and performance while lowering ongoing costs and technical debt.
